Review: LECO 2 Thrusting Dildo

Fucking machines have always been super hot to me, with the idea of a powerful machine dedicated to pounding holes (and being able to use it on my partners) appealing to the more dominant top side of me. I am — however — unfortunately limited by the London housing market. I don’t have the space for a full sized fucking machine, as much as I might wish to have one. Because of this, I’m always open to smaller, more storable alternatives.

The LECO 2 from BestVibe looked like it might be it for a hot minute. This $159.99 thrusting dildo is rechargeable, handheld, and has a pretty decent stroke length of 1.77 in. Add to that the fact it’s rechargeable — freeing users from the need to be by a socket — and the dildos screw off for easy cleaning? I was intrigued. Add to that the fact my LECO 2 actually came with two dildo attachments rather than the one I was expecting, I was totally ready for this one to rock my world.

Unfortunately, the LECO 2 and I did not get on well.

The Good

Let’s start with the good I have to say about the LECO 2.

I know it’s not for everyone, but I absolutely love the power tool aesthetic. I am a basic butch at heart, and the fact that the LECO 2 Thrusting Dildo looks like somebody hacked together an electric drill is a plus in my book.

I also like that the dildos unscrew from the electric portion for easier cleaning — the LECO 2 isn’t splash or submersion safe, so being able to remove the insertable portion for cleaning makes a huge difference, meaning the toy can be properly sanitised if shared between people who aren’t fluid bonded.

Compared to my other mini thrusting machine — the Velvet Thruster Teddy — the LECO 2 is much easier to hold in my hands when it’s thrusting into somebody else. The grip is significantly more comfortable than the rounded suction cup of the Teddy.

The main other competitor I can think of to the LECO 2 are toys like the Fun Factory Stronic range. Compared to these, the LECO 2 has a significantly longer stroke length. If you’re looking to feel like you’re getting pounded into more than the pulsing or tapping sensations of the Stronic line.

The Bad

The main drawback of the LECO 2 is that it is exceptionally hard to use solo. While I was mostly looking to use the LECO 2 on my partners, it’s so difficult that I can’t not spend ages talking about it.

The length of the dildo and handle combined makes placement for solo play incredibly awkward and tricky. And that’s before bringing in the fact that to make the actual dildo part of the LECO 2 Thrusting Dildo move — rather than the movement being the handle moving back and forward — you need to put a significant amount of force and effort into keeping the handle in place. This is doable if it’s being held by the person not being penetrated, although it can get straining the hands after a while. But if you’re having to do that while also focusing on angles and also trying get off? It’s a bit of a nightmare to manage.

In fairness, this is also an issue with some Velvet Thruster models. The difference there is that Velvet Thruster also offers suction cups, either as attachments or cast into the base of their toys. This allows a solo user to actually be able to hold their thruster in place while getting off.

That decent thrust rate also gets reduced somewhat by any resistance pressing up against the LECO 2. I ran into a problem with this particularly with anal, where any kind of clenching or twitching would grind any proceedings to an immediate halt.

The LECO 2 is also very loud. Thrusting toys do tend to be on the loud side admittedly, but it’s significantly louder than my Velvet Thruster Teddy. If you live privately enough to be able to use this toy sans interruption… well at that point, I think you’d be better off getting a full fucking machine.

Overall

While I was super excited for the LECO 2 before it arrived, I can’t in good faith recommend it. It’s not solo-sex friendly at all, is very loud, and is difficult to hold in place. It’s also pretty on parr price wise with the closest competitors I can speak to, so ultimately I’d recommend getting one of those instead.

Looking for solo sex? For most users, I’d recommend the Fun Factory Stronic line. Those toys are much quieter (I haven’t measured mine, but fellow blogger Phallophile Reviews measured hers at 36–38 decibels, quieter than the 57-65 decibels of her Velvet Thrusters), easier to hold in place solo, and are significantly easier to hold than a larger toy like the LECO 2.

If you’re looking for a long stroke length in particular, one of the Velvet Thrusters with a suction cup is more workable and is actually possible to comfortably use solo. And if you’re looking for a long stroke length, don’t need to worry about sound level, and are willing to splash out a little extra? Just get a full sized fucking machine.
