Review: Kudu Voodoo Trex Packer

The more I’ve seen indie companies making fantasy style dildos over the past couple of years, the more I’ve wished and wished for fantasy packers. While there has been a big name fantasy toy company producing toys that are sold as packers for a couple of years, I’d heard from the grapevine that these were just cast from the dildo moulds in soft silicone, and so weren’t really usable as packers. Packers have seemed like a hole in the fantasy toy market for so long that when I saw that Kudu Voodoo were releasing a fantasy packer, I immediately reached out to them to see if they’d be interested in working together.

The Trex packer is the first packer that Kudu Voodoo have produced and I really hope they create more models in future, because the Trex is gorgeous. It comes in two sizes- mini and small, with options for both super soft and soft silicone. I requested a super soft Trex in the small size, which has a total length of 6 inches and a shaft length of 5 inches, while the mini size is 4 inches total length, with a shaft length of 3 inches. A custom small Trex is available from $55, while a custom mini is available from $25.

texture.pngFrom the name you can probably guess that the Trex is reptilian themed, and the design reflect this. A lot of the base and balls are covered in a large rounded scale texture, with this continuing onto the shaft. The underside of the shaft has a series of diamond shaped scales, and there’s a super pronounced foreskin. The shaft as a whole has a really interesting shape, being quite thin near the base but increasing in girth towards the head. While the overall shape is humanoid enough for packing, there’s an incredible amount of fantasy detail.

Colour is something super customisable for Trex, with Kudu Voodoo offering 49 (!!) silicone colour options, as well as the option for two, three, or four colour marbles and splits. If you’re looking for something super specific, Kudu Voodoo offers the option to email them with your ideas, including inspiration photos or character inspired colour pallets. At first I was super unsure what colour options to request, because the possibilities seemed endless. But then I saw a photo of some toys from Kudu Voodoo’s pride themed drop, and I made up my mind immediately. I wanted a trans flag coloured packer.

There is a little bit of blending between the pink and blue at the end of the shaft, and a few random looking blobs of pink at the base of my Trex, but other than that the colours are stunning. And I’m not even really upset about those two flaws- the pink near the base isn’t noticeable by anyone except me, and while there is some blending, the overall colour is very recognisable as the trans flag. The colours are bright without being neon, and aside from the one area of mixing, the borders between colours are well defined and sharp. My Trex is honestly a work of art. And also incredibly on personal brand.

bulge.pngI’ll be honest and say that I didn’t intend or expect to use Trex as an everyday packer. I do tend to skew large for packers anyway, but part of the reason I requested a small rather than a mini size is that I expected Trex to be the packer I wear when I want to feel a bit sexy. The packer equivalent of lingerie, so to speak. The first time I wore Trex was an evening when I wanted a bit of ‘I’m hot as fuck’ confidence, and it absolutely worked. I even think the colour scheme I chose helped with making me feel that way- a trans flag packer just gives off such unapologetic, confident vibes. Big dick energy, so to speak. Trex was also super fun to wear during makeout sessions that involved a little groping and grinding. It really did make me feel the same way that my favourite briefs do.

But despite Trex’s non-human shape, it actually worked remarkably well as a day-to-day packer. It’s definitely a packer I would wear with thicker jeans, and I did have an incident when choosing to wear sweatpants made me look like I had a boner for a few hours. While it does create a larger bulge than my NYTC Archer (my go-to soft packer for daily packing), it’s still pretty soft and squishy- definitely squishier than my Packer Gear Packer. It probably wouldn’t pass a heavy grope test because of the scale texturing, but nothing would be noticeable during a quick brush. Trex does create a large bulge, but it’s a perfectly normal looking bulge, and unless you’re wearing particularly tight clothing, I don’t think anyone would notice the difference between the Trex bulge and the bulge a non-fantasy packer would make.

I tried Trex free packing in a brief, in my Origami Customs packing harness, and in my SpareParts packing underwear, and I definitely had different packing preferences depending on when and why I was wearing Trex. I preferred free packing in some tight briefs when I was wearing Trex during makeout and groping sessions, but preferred wearing it in SpareParts undies when packing day-to-day or for that BDE boost.

I’m a huge fan of the Kudu Voodoo Trex, and not just because I’m excited to see a fantasy packer on the market. It’s an incredibly beautifully poured packer, with a huge amount of well designed detail. Trex packs really well, even for more day-to-day packing. It’s not going to be my everyday packer, but my cruise night packer? Absolutely!
