Review: Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Inch Dual Density Silicone Dildo

Like fantasy toys, the availability of dual-density silicone toys is something I’ve seen change rapidly, even in just the time I’ve been blogging. When I started buying my own sex toys, dual density toys felt like an unattainable luxury. I knew of a few companies that made them (such as Vixen), but they were out of my price range. Fast forward 6 years, and dual density toys have never been more accessible and affordable.

The Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Inch Dual Density Silicone Dildo is a toy that wouldn’t have existed a decade or so ago. But I’m really glad it does now! This dual density silicone dildo (which also comes in a fetching pink shade) is available for just $26.99, making it the cheapest dual density silicone dildo available from SheVibe. I’ve really wanted to try a toy from Blush’s affordable dual density Neo Elite line for years, and I love being able to point to accessible toy option recommendations, so reviewing it is something I’d been looking forward to!

The Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Inch Dual Density Silicone Dildo

I honestly don’t praise Blush Novelties enough on my blog. They’re not anywhere close to perfect (they do still produce some non-body safe dildos and other insertable toys), but they’ve made a huge turnaround from being a company that I remember being blacklisted by some bloggers when I came onto the scene to being one of the names that comes to mind when it comes to affordable silicone dildos. Add that to the fact their underwear harness line is very good with plus sizes, and their Avant Pride line (because I’m always weak for a pride colour toy) and I’d say I’m generally a fan!

The Blush Neo Elite 5.5 is pretty standard, as dildos go. The shape is actually also available in single density as the Avant D15 Vision Of Love Dildo or in the colours of the lipstick lesbian pride flag as the Avant Pride P3 Beauty. It’s reasonably representational, with a defined head (including a urethra) and some veining detail along the shaft. There’s a suction cup built into the base, although it’s pretty shallow and not super pronounced, which did have me wondering about its effectiveness.

This is a pretty petite dildo—while its total length is the 5.5 inches of its name, only 5 inches of this is insertable. The total width is just 1.25 inches too, with the soft squish of the softer outer silicone making this small size feel less pronounced than it would be if the whole toy was cast in the firmer silicone of the Avant Pride line (which is something to bear in mind if you’re choosing between this and the D15 or P3).

And speaking of that silicone…

The Dual Density Silicone & Suction Cup

I really like the silicone of my Avant Pride toys. It’s super smooth, with a soft finish and a bit of squish. Because of the price point and added complexity of dual density, I was expecting to like the silicone of the Blush Neo Elite 5.5 less. And I was totally wrong about that!

The outer later of the Blush Neo Elite 5.5 is pretty plush and squishy. As with my other dual density dildos, the head is entirely cast in the soft squishy silicone of the outer layer. This softness does mean that the little bit of vein definition is totally lost for me, but even in a single density this wouldn’t be a highly textured toy.

The suction cup is another place the Neo Elite 5.5 dildo really pleasantly surprised me! Because of the shallowness of the cup and the fact it’s cast in a different, firmer silicone to the main body of the dildo (this divide is a lot more noticeable in real life than in product pictures), I was a bit worried about how well it would hold up. But it’s pretty strong!

Strapping On The Blush Neo Elite 5.5

So before I received my Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Dildo, my assumption was that it was going to be pretty good as a general toy, but not well suited for strap-on play. Part of my reasoning behind this was the length— part of a dildo’s length is always going to be lost when strapping it on, between the harness and the imperfect way that bodies fit together. At 5.5 inches, this Blush Neo Elite Dildo doesn’t have a huge amount of length to lose, and I was worried it might be non-viable. But it’s worked really well!

Having experienced that and taken some time to rethink, it does make sense the Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Dildo works well for strap-on play. My normal go-to suggestion for first time dildos for anal strap-on sex is the Godemiche Apprentice, and the Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Dildo is pretty equivalent in length.

That thin suction cup that worried me so much also means that the Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Dildo is actually really comfortable to strap-on. I normally don’t like strapping suction cup dildos (as I’ve complained about numerous times on this blog), because more rigid cups especially just feel jabby to me. The more subtle cup on the Blush Neo Elite 5.5 Dildo (which also features on the P2 and P8 dildos, but not the P9) means it’s comfortable to wear.

How It Feels Penetratively

I’ve lavished a lot of unexpected praise on the Neo Elite 5.5 Dual Density Dildo, but this doesn’t continue into the sensation aspect of using it penetratively. I do want to emphasise this is not because it’s bad. The squish of the dual density is nice, and I find it to be really comfortably for lazy anal play where I don’t want to do too much prep. It just doesn’t have a lot going on other than being filling.

While there is a slight curve to the shaft, it’s not enough for super targeted g-spot or prostate stimulation. There’s definitely the potential for some stimulation with a single density version of this shape, but in the dual density there’s a bit too much squish to give firm pressure.

However, I don’t think this makes the Neo Elite 5.5 Dual Density Dildo bad! While I’d look elsewhere for targeted stimulation (it’s single density, but the Funkit Toys Nofrilldo G-Spot Dildo would be a rec of mine for around the same price point!), that’s not necessarily what everyone wants. For anal (which is what I primarily used this Neo Elite toy for), I like comfortable ‘full’ feelings, and the Neo Elite 5.5 Dual Density Dildo is a great way to get this when (as I said), I’m having a lazy day and don’t necessarily want to work up to a big toy. If I can get two fingers in comfortably, I know I can get the Neo Elite 5.5 Dual Density Dildo in.

Overall

The Neo Elite 5.5 Dual Density Dildo isn’t groundbreaking for me, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. I asked to review it to get a good idea of what a super affordable dual-density dildo is like, and it exceeded my expectations! Initially I thought it’d be a ‘good for non-harness play, but doesn’t do well for strap-on sex’ dildo, but that initial judgement turned out to be completely wrong. It’s not a toy for size royalty, texture lovers, or people who want targeted g-spot or prostate stimulation, but if you prefer smaller and less textured toys, want to try out dual density toys for the first time, or are looking for an affordable option, I’d really recommend it!
