Review: BestVibe Rose Suction Clitoral Stimulator

I’m not on TikTok, so my introduction to the infamous ‘Rose Toy’ was through my main way of consuming most viral trends — my girlfriend showing me curated content on her phone while we lay together in bed.

The floral air pulsation toy was hyped up for its apparent power, affordable price point, and cute non-threatening design, but for a good while I was a bit sceptical. I have a clit of steel, and plenty of vibrators hyped up as ‘powerful’ have disappointed me. But I decided it was time to give ‘The Rose Toy’ (or at least one of them — I’ll talk about that in a second) a shot!

What Is The Deal With The Rose Toy?

Before I get into reviewing the toy I received from BestVibe, I want to give a little industry context. The Rose is a white label toy, meaning that the design isn’t actually owned by any one company. If retailers offer their own version of the Rose, what’s changed is likely branding and little else. Any shop claiming to have the ‘official’ Rose Toy is just doing that as marketing, and it doesn’t mean anything in particular about the toy.

However, this doesn’t mean that all Rose Toys are identical. There’s some obvious design differences (e.g. some toys have external ‘tongues’ or other features), some less obvious design features (e.g. different button layout is a telltale sign that toys come from different factories and may have different levels of power), and some that you won’t be able to tell apart at sight (e.g. the internal mechanics may be totally different on toys that externally look the same).

My commentary in this review of the BestVibe Rose Suction Clitoral Stimulator is only commentary on that product specifically, and I cannot guarantee other brands’ toys are in any way similar.

The BestVibe Rose

With that context and disclaimer, let’s talk about the BestVibe Rose Toy specifically!

As Rose-style toys go, it’s very standard. This red silicone toy has a rounded, almost egg-like shape. The opening is round and circular with an approximate 0.4 inch diameter — a generous size wise for this style of toy, meaning it’s very comfortable for my bottom growth from testosterone! The top edges are rounded with the petal shaped pattern that gives the toy its name, and charging is done via magnetic charging contacts at the bottom of the toy.

Price wise, the BestVibe Rose Toy is $42.99 from the US site and £45.99 from the UK site. While this is a little more expensive than some Rose Toy options out there, as I said in the earlier section I can’t speak to the quality of those cheaper toys, or guarantee they are the same even if they look identical. While there are some listings I suspect are the same white-label toy as the BestVibe offering, I can’t guarantee that.

While described as a ‘suction’ toy in the listing — and described as such by a lot of TikTok commentary — I want to clarify that the toy actually doesn’t create suction. The Rose is a kind of toy called ‘air pulsation toys’, which work by doing exactly that — creating a pulsation of air against the body, usually with a rapidly vibrating plate. This often feels like suction but isn’t, and it doesn’t come with the same safety concerns as toys with true suction like clitoral pumps.

Pulsation Quality

For all my scepticism about the Rose Toy, the first thing I noticed when using mine for the first time was that the air pulsation strength and quality? Not exaggerated. The BestVibe Rose Toy has 7 settings (3 steady speeds and 4 patterns), and even on the lowest I thought ‘I could absolutely orgasm with this’, which is not always a guarantee even on toys’ most intense settings.

I’ve experimented with all settings, and find I generally sit best around the setting 2 mark, pushing into the third speed when I’m close or want to speed orgasm up a little (and even on setting 2 it’s pretty quick). I do think part of the reason I find the Rose so intense is not just because of motor strength but also an anatomical factor — the opening of the Rose is very wide, so even with my well-endowed anatomy, I can fit my entire clitoris inside the opening rather than just the head. I also have a long enough t-dick that the head is very close to that plate that creates the suction sensation when it pulsates.

While I’m generally a well-known pattern hater, the BestVibe Rose is one of the first toys where I’ve actually got something from a pattern. The Rose is — as loath as I am to admit this — sometimes a little too intense. A few of the patterns having breaks between vibrations works well to have a bit of a relief from the intensity, and the Rose’s pulsations are powerful enough that the little break doesn’t leave me under stimulated.

Ergonomics

I have mixed opinions on the ergonomics of BestVibe’s Rose toy.

On the one hand, that rounded shape does fit into the palm of my hand pretty easily and comfortably, and the flat bottom makes it pretty easy to just press down once it’s in place. On the other, I’m somebody with quite large outer labia and quite a plush mons pubis, which can get in the way when using the Rose. It’s not a big issue, but the petals don’t do a great job at keeping my labia open, so I often have to use another hand to do this.

While I’m chubby, I’m mid-size (in women’s sizing, I’m approximately a US 16, but generally wear UK men’s large). For people who are larger than me or have a bit more padding, I can see the short body of the Rose potentially being a problem, and would probably point to air pulsation toys with a longer handle, like the Satisfyer Pro 2. I’d also say the same if you know the rounded base of the Rose might not play well with grip issues.

However, while the BestVibe Rose was a two handed affair, I didn’t have much to complain about. Aside from one thing…

Cleaning

I’m not going to sugarcoat it — the Rose is a pain in the ass to clean. Those pretty scalloped edges catch vag gunk like nothing else. It is waterproof, which does make cleaning at least a little easier, so credit there. However, I still found I had to scrub my Rose with a soft toothbrush to feel secure that I’d properly cleaned it after use.

Overall

I came to this review with a lot of scepticism, but the BestVibe Rose Suction Clitoral Stimulator has really won me over! If you prefer gentler sensations, it’s one to give a miss. I’d also say the same if you know a longer handled toy is more suited to your body.

However, aside from this, my feelings on the Rose are mostly glowing! If you can deal with the more intensive cleaning, I’d highly recommend it. It’s a very strong (especially for the affordable price point) air pulsation toy, and has been the first toy to actually make me appreciate patterns rather than find them an annoyance, which is a real achievement!

I’d especially recommend the BestVibe Rose to transmasculine people who are on testosterone and a bit more well-endowed in terms of growth, as it’s very generous with sizing.

Buy the Rose Toy from BestVibe for $42.99 or £45.99

As a head’s up, this retailer does use gendered categories in their store.

  1. Thank you for this review!

I have recently had some customers with bottom growth asking for recs on toys other than wands/bullets and did ask about the Rose, so good to know that it very well could be an option for them. I actually gave them the link to your site so hopefully they see this review!

    1. Thank you for commenting, I love to hear that my reviews are useful! I would also say most of the Satisfyer toys I’ve tried have also been a good fit if you’re looking for other air pulsation toy recs, but the Rose is definitely the most generous size wise

      1. So useful! Almost every transmasc customer I have, I’ve given them the link to your website. I check in daily for updates or to read through past posts (I’ve almost caught up on them all since finding your site almost a year ago) and often reference back to different reviews when trying to find something suitable for my customers needs.

When I’m thinking of creative ways toys can be used, because it’s not an issue I face or understand and I don’t personally know any trans guys, your blog is such an amazing resource for me to have the knowledge be able to give my customers the best service I can, so I sincerely thank you for your website and all you do <3
