Sexual experimentation is a life-long process, and people can discover kinks and fetishes at every and any age. I’m not a person who’s always known they were kinky, and discovering what I’m into has been a slow, ongoing process. That said, 2019 has so far been a really enlightening year for me in terms of discovering my kinks.
Most of my discoveries have been through experimentation with partners or at kink parties, but there’s plenty of ways you can explore your own potential kinks. Maybe you’d want to try things with a long term partner, try some kink solo, or book a session with a prodom through an agency like Escorts & Babes. Leather
Earlier this summer I discovered, while trying on outfit ideas for a kink night, that wearing leather makes me feel incredibly sexy. I’d never really considered the possibility that I was into wearing leather before, partly because the aesthetics I’ve seen attached to leathermen have been very orderly and military-inspired, which isn’t really my thing. But of course, there is no one way to be kinky, and turns out wearing leather in less refined, more casualwear outfits really works for me. And then, after buying some leather shorts and a leather strap-on harness, I realised the appeal wasn’t just aesthetic. I love the smell and feel and sound of leather, and I love the ritual of cleaning my leather after wearing it or after play.
So where’s next for my leather kink? I’m not actually sure. I do actually feel a little bit conflicted about my leather kink, as I’m a vegetarian and try to minimise my consumption of animal products. There is a leather bar in my city, but the very strict dress code turns me off it. Other than slowly getting together more leather clothing (I have my eye on some leather gloves at the moment), and trying to incorporate more leather into my date night wardrobe, I’m not really sure where the next place for a baby leather fetishist to go is. Boots
While I discovered my thing for boots and leather separately, there is a similar story behind the two. I’ve always really liked wearing combat boots- they’ve made me feel badass and confident and attractive. While I had lightly experimented with boot worship before, it wasn’t until I chose to wear them to the aforementioned kink night that I really got that it was a kink.
It didn’t hurt that I had my first experience of boot blacking that evening. Having a bootblack polish my boots was such a potent mix of being dominant and being submissive that I feel like it gave me an entire awakening. Teratophilia
By teratophilia, I mean sexual attraction to monsters. Werewolves, demons, tentacle monsters, symbiotes, eldritch beings etc etc. Me being a monsterfucker would probably not be a huge surprise to anyone who’s known me for a while, what with having been really excited for The Shape Of Water, having lusted after tentacle dildos since I found out they were a thing, and having an incredibly worn copy of Smut Peddler’s My Monster Boyfriend. Why am I into the idea of being a monster? Maybe it’s partly me eroticising cultural drama after a lifetime of being posited as monstrous as a trans person in a transphobic society. Maybe it’s that I think I would be sexier with claws or teeth or a non-human looking monster dick.
Unlike my thing for boots and leather, my teratophilia has remained mostly the realm of fantasy, mostly for practical reasons. I have tried out some monster-esque fantasy dildos (reviews forthcoming), would like to try out some roleplay when I’m with a partner who’s interested, and have Halloween costume plans to be the monster boyfriend I wish to see in the world, but I don’t have plans to extend this kink outside of fantasy in other ways anytime soon.
Chastity
While I’m mostly a D-type, chastity is a kink where I feel equally strong about it as a bottom and as a top. The idea of taking control of somebody’s orgasms by locking them in a cage or belt is just as appealing as the idea of somebody else taking control over mine. I think I’m only really interested in short-term chastity in real life- partly for practical reasons, as I don’t have the balls to wear a cage around, and belts aren’t too comfortable for long term wear.
After I’ve had a scrotoplasty, I’d love to try out cages to see if they work for me, and I’d love to try out a belt that has space for a penis so I can pack in it. At the moment though, I’m mostly playing with short-term chastity solo, in a way that also touches on my leather kink, as I need to care for the leather of my belt.
Watersports
Admittedly, watersports is a kink that’s entirely theoretical for me at the moment. I’ve only really engaged with it in dirty talk and fantasy, and I’m unsure about how I’d feel about watersports in real life. But talking or fantasising about being a piss-pig or having my partner be my piss-pig? Hot!
