The Lush Juna against some candles. The Lush Juna is a purple vibrator with a thin pinpoint tip

Review: Lush Juna

“It looks like an electric toothbrush.”

The Lush Juna with three heads. These heads are in a variety of shapes, including two that resemble brushes and one that looks like a cup for the clitorisThat was the first comment my partner made about the Lush Juna and, to be honest, she’s right. Kind of, at least. While this toy comes with four attachments, it can be used without any of them, and when it’s naked it does look a bit like an electric toothbrush with the head taken off. Hell, it kinda looks like a toothbrush with some of the heads on, especially the cup shaped brushed head.

I was interested in trying this odd looking vibrator from Blush Novelties (sent to me by Betty’s Toy Box) for three main reasons. Firstly, I’ve vaguely had the sense that I prefer pinpoint stimulation when it comes to vibrators for a while, and the tiny head of the Lush Juna is nothing if not pinpoint. Secondly, I’ve been making heart eyes at the Zumio for a long while, but never quite managed to get my hands on one, and I’d hoped the Lush Juna might provide a similar kind of experience. And thirdly, I just really love toys that look strange or odd, and the Juna delivers on that front.

Conceptually, I like the Lush Juna. I like that a single toy can be used to play with different kinds of sensation. The pinpoint head can be used on its own, the ‘bunny ears’ attachment can focus in two places at once, a flat comb-like end, and a cupped comb. While not all the sensations are for me, I do like that it’s offering a variety of them in one package!

While I generally stuck to the plain end on myself, I did find use for some of the attachments that I didn’t expect. I don’t tend to like ‘bunny ear’ style vibrators in general, but I found they worked really well on my partner’s nipples or the tip of her penis. I didn’t really like the ‘cup’ style attachment, but I did enjoy the brushes — they can be a little harsh, but I quite like harsh vibrations.

The Lush Juna definitely made me confident that I’ve been right in assessing that I prefer pinpoint stimulation over broad. I definitely had some frustrations with the buzzyness of the vibrations — there’s only two solid vibration speed, and the highest is still not the Tango-level rumble I want in my clitoral vibrators — but if you know you prefer vibrations on the more buzzy side, then that’s not an issue for you. And, for what it’s worth, I think the pinpoint stimulation works so well for me that I’m far more ok with the buzzyness of the Lush Juna’s motor. I still definitely wish it was more rumbly and that there were more solid speed options, but I can accept them as they are. I generally struggle to orgasm with buzzy vibes, but while my orgasms with the Lush Juna aren’t as intense as they are with my Tango or my Satisfyer toys, I don’t struggle to come to orgasm the way I do with broader buzzy toys.

The Lush Juna's base. It has a single large button, with a rose pattern on itOne criticism I do have without caveat is the Lush Juna’s button. And yes, there is just one button— an unnecessarily difficult to push down button. For those with disabilities or chronic conditions that affect the use of your hands, this can make using the Lush Juna unnecessarily difficult. I’d love to see the buttons become easier to press and use.

The second criticism I have is that — as somebody whose vibrator use style mostly involves pushing it against my body hard — I’ve had some occasions where the Lush Juna has… got stuck? As in, stopped moving. A toy stalling under firm pressure really is an issue, even if some people might use it in a more ‘hovering’ kind of way.

Overall, I do really like the Lush Juna! I think it’s a great way to experiment with different sensations, and it’s worked very well for me as a budget introduction to extremely pinpoint stimulation. That said, I do have criticisms of it. If you know you’re looking for pinpoint stimulation, I’d recommend looking for something like the Zumio instead (and I will be doing the same!), especially because the Lush Juna can be a little buzzy. I do really hope that Blush Novelties adjust the button in the future, because it really is far too difficult to press down. Also — and I know this is a tiny and incredibly whiny little point — but it would be great if the Lush Juna could have a storage bag. Which is something I’ve never said about a toy before (and I normally do not care for storage bags) but.. there are five elements to the Lush Juna (and the charger) and they are all very small. Please give me something to store all of them in.
