Mini Review: Kudu Voodoo Lennex

It’s been a hot minute since I reviewed the Trex Packer from Kudu Voodoo, and in that time a whole bunch of other indie silicone companies making them have sprung up. That’s something super exciting (despite its danger to my wallet) so even though I’ve bought my other fantasy packers out of pocket rather than received them for review, I thought it would be helpful to have as much info about available fantasy packers out there and accessible to other people.

The packer I want to mini-review today is the Lennex packer. Like my Trex, it’s made by Kudu Voodoo, except inspired by a bear rather than a reptilian beast. Right off the bat I want to say that Lennox feels more furry-adjacent than the Trex did—the marketing copy very specifically states Lennox is a bear rather than a ‘creature’ like Trex. That’s not something that bothers me—I actually quite like the bear thing, if only because as a chubby and slightly hairy queer man I think it makes for a funny joke—but I can understand if for some people this pushes it a little too much out of the ’vague creature/monster’ category into the actually animal-like category. That said, the design doesn’t actually seem that non-human. There’s a fur texture at the base and on the balls, but the shaft itself seems pretty representational, with the exception of a few more wrinkles on the shaft than most humans have.

The Lennex’s silicone is on the firmer side. It definitely doesn’t impair it as a packer, even in the larger of the two sizes (‘small’, which is the size I have), but it is noticeable on a squeeze. I don’t wear my Lennex with sweatpants for that reason, but it’s not a problem at all in jeans. I am slightly larger than average, both in terms of being slightly taller than the average AFAB and also being a bit chubby, so if you’re on the smaller end, the ‘mini’ size might suit you better than the ‘small’.

Lennex is currently only available through drops on Kudu Voodoo’s website, so colour options are limited to what’s available rather than being customisable. That said, I want to shout out the colours on the Lennex I got my hands on. Green is my absolute favourite colour, and even though my preference in greens tends towards the alpine green side, I love the bright almost-neon green of my Lennex. I also really love the way the colour is laid, with an almost all green shaft and most of the marble between the green and this lovely dark purple on the base. There’s a little marbling right at the base of the shaft, but it doesn’t detract from the overall pattern for me. Also the green and purple combo is really spooky/Halloween-y and I think that slaps.
