Review: BestVibe Crown Sucking Licking Clit Stimulator & Rotating and Vibrating Rose Anal Beads

The first product I reviewed for BestVibe — the Rose Vibrator — became an unexpected new favourite for me. The vibrations are really powerful, the shape and size are comfortable to hold and fits my t-dick really comfortably, and I think I will always remember it as the toy that made me understand the appeal of vibration patterns.

I’m back with two mini reviews for BestVibe. Following the pleasant surprise that was the Rose, I wanted to give another of their air pulsation toys a try. It’s also been a good while since I’ve reviewed a tongue-like toy, so I wanted to give the Bestvibe Crown Sucking Licking Clit Stimulator — which combines the two styles of toy into one package — a test run.

I also have now gained a fondness for rose-shaped toys, so I wanted to give the Bestvibe 10 Rotating and Vibrating Rose Anal Beads (brevity when it comes to product names is not one of BestVibe’s strengths — I’ll shorten the names from now on) a shot as well. I’ve reviewed a couple of rotating anal toys before, but only in a plug shape and not beads.

BestVibe Crown Sucking Licking Clit Stimulator

The BestVibe Crown is — as its long name suggests — a toy the combines an air pulsation ‘sucking’ style toy with a flickering tongue. It resembles what I’d describe as ‘a bean wearing a crown’, with the flickering tongue situated inside the crown, on the top of the bean’s… head (?).

Like the Rose, the BestVibe crown is waterproof, so it can be used in the shower and also is easier to clean. It has a single button for control, and the tongue and air pulsation can’t be controlled independently.

The Air Pulsation

I don’t really know a coy way to say this but… my clitoris is too big for the BestVibe Crown. I am — admittedly — a good 8 year on testosterone and have had enough bottom growth that a piercer I recently went to a consultation with said I could fit a double triangle piercing, so I’m very much not working with an average vulva. But this is never a problem I’ve had with any air pulsation toy before, even ones I haven’t noticed being particularly roomy.

I did try and make it work, and I could at least get the very head of my clitoris inside the Crown. But because of those size issues, I couldn’t really create a seal around my junk, and the sensation just felt pretty weak as a result.

I have done a test on my hand to at least get an idea of how the Crown’s air pulsation compares. Compared to the Rose, they’re extremely buzzy and feel very shallow. I probably could get off with them, but I wouldn’t enjoy the experience much.

The Tongue

I have a little soft spot for tongue-style vibrations, even if I do find I find them a bit more difficult to orgasm with than more standard designs. And it was definitely my favourite part of the Crown!

The crown part of the toy itself is very thin, flexible silicone, meaning I can push the tongue into my junk with the right amount of pressure. It’s definitely not a replacement for oral sex, but no toy can ever really be a true replacement for oral sex.

As it is, it’s an enjoyable sensation, with a much slower build up to orgasm than my usual vibrators. The tongue is pinpoint enough that it works for me, even with significantly more buzzy vibrations than I normally tend towards.

Overall

If you’re on testosterone HRT of any kind, even if you’re pretty early on or have had limited growth, I definitely think you’re likely to run into fit issues with the BestVibe Crown, and I’d caution against purchasing it.

The dual-feature nature of this toy means both features feel a little weaker than they could be. The tongue flicking is fun, but I found it just left me wanting more — flicking a bit faster and a larger and more firm tongue. And size aside making the feature a bust for me, the air pulsation is a little weak and surface level. If you’re looking for air pulsation (especially if you have bottom growth), it’s worth spending a bit more and getting the Rose instead.

BestVibe Rotating and Vibrating Rose Anal Beads

I won’t lie, part of the reason I wanted this set of anal beads is to make a rosebud joke.

The obvious joke aside, I do think the rose is pretty cute — I’m not normally a flowers guy or somebody who cares for sex toys that aren’t obviously sex toys (and to be clear, these beads are not discrete), but I find it endearing. I also have a lot of horrible kink ideas about combining it with a rose-shaped ball gag and air pulsation toy and turning somebody into a floral arrangement, human furniture style. Which I think is less likely to be a shared sentiment, but is enough of a draw for me personally I felt it deserved a mention.

While I’ve not reviewed a set yet, I am a fan of anal beads in my personal life. I have tended towards more traditional beads with no vibrating function (my favourite is the Fun Factory Flexi Felix, although I will admit the face is not for everyone), so having a more solid set of beads was a new experience for me.

I was also interested in the rotating feature. I’ve reviewed rotating butt toys like the b-Vibe Rimming Plug before and been a fan, so was interested to see how I’d feel about it in bead form.

Vibrations & Rotation

The BestVibe Rose Anal Beads is split between two functions — of the four beads, the first and smallest two rotate, while all vibrate. These functions can be controlled separately using the included remote, which has one button for vibrations and one for rotation, but using the single button on the beads’ base controls the two together.

So while I do like rotation sensations in my butt, the BestVibe Rose Anal Beads made me discover something very important — I only like this sensation for shallow anal penetration. The BestVibe Rose Anal Beads is pretty long (for an anal specific toy at least) at 5.75 inches insertable, and when fully inserted I mostly found the rotation sensation… odd, bordering on uncomfortable.

That said, one of the specific features of anal beads is that you can insert as much or as little of the toy as you like. Because of this, I was very easily able to make sure the rotating beads were the only beads inserted, but it did lead to quite limited use. This honestly does feel like wasted potential — if the same toy had rotation only at the base (and I could control the two functions separately without needing the remote), I think it’d be a far stronger design.

The times I did choose to insert all four beads, I only turned the vibrations on, and left the rotation function off. The vibrations do reach down the entire length of toy and they are most intense on the smallest bead. While a little buzzy, they’re reasonably good — while my butt is nowhere near as fussy about vibration quality as my vulva, they did pass the ‘can I get off from these vibrations clitorally (even if it’s not the best experience)’ test. It did have the unfortunate fate of arriving at my flat right after I received the Ditto+ for review, so my praise on that front is a little more faint than the might otherwise be, but generally I have nothing to complain about on that front.

Overall

I’ve already mentioned I wish the rotation function was in the larger two beads, rather than the smaller two, and I think if the button in the base of the rose allowed for the two functions to be controlled separately, it’d be a much stronger design.

I don’t think it’s entirely a bust as a design — the rotation being located where it is helps with targeted prostate stimulation (as does the fact that once the rotation has been used, the toy will almost always have a curve in it, as it’s very hard to time turning it off to when the beads are exactly straight). My quibbles about the rotation placement aside (which are personal preference), the vibrations are pretty good. While I don’t think it’s for me, it’s definitely the stronger of the two products I’ve reviewed in this post.
