Review: Frisky Beast/Twin Tail Creations Input Valve

“Robot pussy” was the message I sent to my best friend after my first Input Valve arrived. Produced originally by Frisky Beast, the Input Valve was also purchased by Twin Tail Creations, who now produce it. It is, as the name may suggest, a robot themed sleeve. While some of the original character art for this toy definitely suggested some Transformers inspiration, the mechanical design elements aren’t Transformers specific.

sidetexture.pngWhile with the previous fantasy sleeve I’d tried- the Snowbird- the fantasy element hadn’t been something I was particularly into, with the Input Valve it was absolutely a selling point. I love mechanical designs on fantasy toys, and I love sleeves for transmascs, especially those that are more anatomical in style. The Input Valve and I seemed like a match made in heaven.

“Robussy”, replied my friend.

Alas, it was not to be.

I love this toy in principle. The design? Great. I love that the mechanical elements are present on the whole length of the sleeve, and especially love the little robot clit. The colours? Gorgeous. I love the pale rose colour of my Nano Input Valve, and the black and purple marble on the Pocket Port works really well. The problem, however, is the sizing.

head.pngThe sizing choices for the Input Valve are really weird. Sleeves intended for transmasculine people normally have a sweet spot for sizing, and the two transmasc sizes- Pocket Port and Nano- are larger and smaller than this range respectively.

The Pocket Port is 5 inches in length, although the channel only extends about half of the length, leaving the rest solid. The hole and channel aren’t round, but a more oval shape, around 0.5 x 0.75 inches. The Pocket Port is available for $45, although it’s currently also only available through Twin Tail Creations’ Frisky Beast Inventory, meaning custom colours aren’t an option.

The Nano size doesn’t seem to be a standard size, and isn’t included on the Input Valve’s model archive page, so measurements here are based entirely on my own measurements, and I apologise for any inaccuracies. The Nano size is 3 inches length in total, although the passage only has a length of about an inch. The Input Valve Nano costs $20, and is currently also only available through Twin Tail Creations’ Frisky Beast Inventory.

First of all if you’re on testosterone or going to start testosterone at any point in the near future, do not get the Nano size. The dimensions of the Nano Input Valve aren’t displayed on the model information page and my measurements may be a little off, but rest assure I am not exaggerating how small this toy is.

I’ve never really had a problem with being too small or too large for sleeves before, even when I’ve accidentally ordered the wrong size, as happened with the GenderCat Fascination Sleeve. But the small entrance and shallow channel in combination meant I could fit about half my dick’s head into this sleeve, and no more. While my dick being too big for something for the first time ever was, ngl, fun and ego boosting, it did not for a useful sex toy make.

That’s not to say I think you should necessarily go for the Pocket Port size though, because, to be honest, it’s a bit big. It’s large enough that I dug through forums and old listings to make sure that it actually was intended as a sleeve for transmasculine people because it’s weirdly large. It’s definitely workable for those who’ve had meta or have had a lot of T growth, but it’s much looser than pretty much every other sleeve I’ve tried. When I use it, there’s always a gap between my dick and the edges of the entrance, so I don’t get any suction. And because of the looseness, I don’t really feel the texture in use.

Which sucks, because in theory this could have been the stroker for me. I love the robot theme, I love that the entrance is anatomical-adjacent, when I feel the texture with my fingers, I love the swirling, rounded bulbs, and even the long body theoretically would make it a lot easier to thrust than shorter sleeves. But I just can’t use either size of the Input Valve.

That’s not to say I don’t think there’s potential with the Input Valves. Even though it doesn’t work for me, I’m actually super excited to see the Nano size here. There aren’t a huge amount of strokers for people who aren’t on T, and I’m really glad I now have a silicone stroker to point non or pre T people towards!

While I’m disappointed at the Input Valve Pocket Port, I’m going to try it again after metoidioplasty, as I might gain some girth from this. In the meantime however, I’d suggest transmascs on T look at other sleeve options, like the Gendercat Fascinator Sleeve or Twin Tail Creations’ Snowbird.

If you’d like to buy your own Pocket Snowbird, you can purchase one for $20-45 from Twin Tail Creations

  1. CW sciency genital language (Please excuse me, I’m not sure if this is commonly warned for, so just in case)
I’d say I pretty much feel the exact same way. I’ve never been on testosterone, and had bought the nano port. I love everything about the toy’s design except trying to penetrate it. The opening is just so small I couldn’t fit much in either. Like 1/4 of the external clitoris. Though I think I did feel some minor suction, so maybe the nano would be a good choice for people with small junk.
I appreciate your review a lot because I was considering buying a size up after that, the robot motif is so good! So while it’s a shame I’d just have another decorative penetrable laying around if I did, I’m glad I know that now.
PS Your blog is awesome and I always look forward to updates.
