Review: Naughty Bits Lit Clit Teenie Weenie Wand

I feel like I should start this review with a caveat/disclaimer. I am probably not the average consumer when it comes to wanting strong vibrators. I have been spoiled by the We-Vibe Tango (the vibrator I use most in my personal life) and against that benchmark even perfectly decent vibrators can fall short. The Naughty Bits Lit Clit Teenie Weenie Wand is not as not as rumbly as the Tango, nor does it offer the power and rumble that its larger plug-in counterparts can offer. But I was still pleasantly surprised by its vibrations.

shapeThe Lit Clit Teenie Weenie Wand from the Naughty Bits line is essentially a smaller version of a classic ‘wand’ style vibrator. It’s much smaller than the average in fact, with the entire vibrator length being 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) compare to the Doxy Wand’s 37 cm (14.5 inches). The head isn’t completely round, instead having a sort of lopsided off-oval shape. This shape means that one side of the Teenie Weenie Wand’s head has a slight point to it, with the surface of the other side of the head having a set of raised concentric rings. The packaging for the Lit Clit Teenie Weenie Wand states that the Naughty Bits line aims to have ‘unique designs’ that ‘stand out from the rest’, and I do actually really like the black and gold colour scheme the Teenie Weenie Wand has! It’s very Deus Ex-y which panders very much to my tastes, and I’m very tempted by the set of anal beads in the same line that come in a matching colour.

Promo material and packaging around the Teenie Weenie Wand states that on high settings it has a batter life of about 1.5 hours and I’d say that’s pretty accurate from my experience, as is the statement it takes about 2 hours to fully charge. Charging happens via USB cable and the self-sealing port means that the Teenie Weenie Wand is waterproof. Vibration setting offerings are pretty standard here, with three solid speeds and seven patterns- I hate vibration patterns and have made no secret of this across the years, and kept the Teenie Weenie Wand on its highest solid speed pretty much constantly.

Given a lot of the hype around wand vibrators focuses around their largeness, what’s the appeal of a mini wand? Well, for one it’s much easier to take with you on the go and much easier to hide. This isn’t really a selling point to me personally but I am also, again, not the average consumer. I own so many sex toys (at the time of writing 103, not including BDSM/kink toys, harnesses, gender expression items, or other products like lube) that they take up all of my underbed storage and I sleep over my collection like some kind of dildo hoarding dragon. At this point there is absolutely no way for me to be discrete about the toys that I own. But also I’m fully aware that’s not normal and having a toy that can be tucked away into a side drawer easily is a selling point for a lot of people. Similarly, while I have no shame in filling an entire wheeled suitcase with sex toys for a weekend trip (and have in fact done so), I know a vibe that can be easily tucked into a bag

Secondly, even at a smaller scale, the shape of a wand-style vibrator means that it can deliver vibrations to a larger surface area than vibrators with smaller surface areas, like a bullet-style vibrator. I’d definitely draw some level of comparison between a mini wand this size and a ‘pebble’ style vibrator, although a wand shape allows its user more distance between their hands and body than a pebble style vibe does. The Teenie Weenie Wand’s packaging does mention that it can deliver ‘pinpoint’ vibrations, which is very much not the word I would associate with wand vibrations. I’d actually say this is true, to an extent. There’s definitely a flexibility with the broad/pinpoint vibration duality than you’d get with the average bullet vibrator.

in_handEarlier I mentioned that the Teenie Weenie Wand’s vibrations are buzzier than the We-Vibe Tango and I stand by that. But using the Tango as the measuring stick feels unfair, especially given the Tango is often recognised as the most rumbly and powerful bullet vibrator on the market. So how does it compare to the other rechargeable clit vibrations in my collection? The Dame Kip’s vibrations definitely have more rumble to them the Teenie Weenie Wand does. This isn’t too much of a surprise given in my review of it, I said that the vibrations of the Dame Kip and We-Vibe Tango were pretty comparable. But the Teenie Weenie Wand’s vibrations are more rumbly than the other clitoral vibes I compared it to, like the Fun Factory Be One. I’d personally rank it as the upper end of mid-tier when it comes to the buzzy to rumbly vibration spectrum.

Rumbly vibrations and powerful vibrations aren’t the same thing though, and while I do think the Teenie Weenie Wand doesn’t have notably rumbly vibrations, it does have a reasonable amount of power to its vibrations. Until I sat down and compared it directly to my other vibrators, I actually would have rated it as much more rumbly than it actually is, and I think that’s due to the fact the vibrations are very strong even if they aren’t particular deep reaching. I’m definitely a bit of a power king, and often have trouble reaching orgasm without a rumbly and/or powerful vibrator. With the Teenie Weenie Wand? No such troubles- on the highest solid setting (which I basically have this vibe set to permanently) I have quick and reasonably strong (if not as strong as when using the Kip or Tango) orgasms.

The not-so-rumblyness does mean there are ways I would use the larger wands I own (the Doxy Wand Original in particular) that I wouldn’t use the Teenie Weenie Wand. In particular, I often use the Doxy Original over clothes- either on myself or my partners- when dysphoria would make direct contact with genitals unpleasant or uncomfortable. The Teenie Weenie Wand’s vibrations are too surface level for me to feel them indirectly so if this is part of the appeal of wands for you, a toy like the Doxy or Vibratex Magic Wand Plus might be more suited to you, although it is worth noting they aren’t waterproof.

Personally, I’ve found I actually really like having a less rumbly vibrator for some kinds of play. While I have a clit of steel, I often find the pinpoint rumble of the Tango too abrasive on other parts of the body. Ironically given the wand vibrator’s roots, I really enjoy using the Teenie Weenie Wand for massage, especially given it’s waterproof.
